DNAVEC is a genuine and rare “venture originated in a national project” that enforces its business using the outcome of national project research as its major basis.
Development of Multi-sided Bio-businesses Pivoting on Platform Technology
Our company exclusively received the vector technology patent rights of DNAVEC Research Inc., a national project. A vector is a “carrier” that transports various genes into cells and a basic technology for gene therapy etc. (See explanation of terms: What is a vector?) Our company has nurtured this technology into a platform technology and made it a basis of continuing development, and is applying it in various domains of bio-businesses.
At present, our company is developing businesses in 4 areas, namely, (1) gene therapy drugs, (2) gene vaccines, (3) function- analysis of genes and proteins focusing on the search for drug generation targets, and (4) preparing/manufacturing recombinant proteins for various uses.
